Hi, Both my wife and I have green cards. She is currently pregnant and we are planning to travel to India for childbirth. I have a couple of questions related to this: 1. I understand that when we return to the US with our baby, the baby automatically gets a green card at the port of entry. Is this correct? 2. I understand that since we are on a green card, we are allowed to stay outside the US for a maximum of 6 months. We plan to return within this time window. However, if our return is delayed by a few weeks due to any unforeseen circumstances, what happens? 3. Is there anything else we need to know regarding childbirth in India and our green card?
