Hi Indu Liladhar, My father-in-law passed away 3 days back due to covid-19 complications. We want to travel to India and be there with my mother-in-law in these difficult times. However, considering our visa status and travel bans, it's getting little complicated to travel in current situation. Our current situation is like this: - I got my visa renewed recently and now have a valid H1-B extension till Aug 8, 2024. However visa stamping on my passport has expired in Jan 11, 2021. - We have applied my wife's H4 and H4-EAD applications along with my extension, but they are still pending with USCIS. Her visa stamp is also expired currently in the passport. - We have 18 month old daughter and she is US citizen(by birth). I have following questions: - Can we get emergency visa appointment in India based on our current situation ? I heard US consulate in India is allowing emergency visa appointments. - Can we get National interest Exception approval for our mother-in-law for some short-term duration ? - Can I get back to USA without our daughter being present here or traveling with us? (if we travel to India)
