When you petition for a Green Card, proof of birth is required. If you don’t have a proof of your birth then according to the U.S. Law, Affidavit of Birth is required when you are petitioning for a Green Card. The Affidavit must be submitted in conjunction with other birth records. An Affidavit of Birth (Father) will include your full name, birth date, and place of birth along with the details of your father’s full name, birth date, birthplace.
