I completed my 6 years of H1 B tenure in 2023 and I have an approved I-140 dated Feb 2024. In 2023, my visa H1 B was extended on the grounds of I-140 in progress and this H1 B duration expired on April 25, 2025. I am a Canadian citizen and working in US on H1 B visa. My firm filed for H1 B Extension in 1st week of March 2025 and then by 3rd week they modified my application to premium processing. I got a RFE on my application on April 16, 2025 and it was about biometrics and finger printing. I did this on May 6, 2025 as per the letter from USCIS at local Application Support Center. There is a family emergency that have come up and due to this I have to travel to India in next 1 or 2 days. My question - Is there a way I can travel and enter US on H1B Extension receipt ? worst case if my approval still doesn't come in 2-3 weeks time. I expect to be in India for 2-3 weeks if I get to travel.
