I currently have a pending H1b extension filed with USCIS. The petition was filed in March 2025 and I have the I797C Receipt notice. I traveled outside the US and re-entered in April using my old I797A which expires on May 20th 2025. So my I-94 has that date. Am I still eligible for the 240 day grace period while the extension is pending or do I need to leave the US before the current I94 expiry and re-enter again when I have the approval notice with a new VISA? Normally, the 240 day grace period should work but I want to confirm if my recent travel outside the US affects that grace period
