I'm working for an IT company as a Test Analyst. My PERM was filed based on my current role and I got the priority date in April'23 and is still awaiting the PERM approval. My H1B max out is July 2025. My company is offering me Project manager role since I have necessary technical back ground to able to manage IT projects better . Is it advisable to move from a technical to managerial role at this point of time? I would also like to know the impact of this change on my ongoing PERM/I140 process. Will I have to start a new PERM and I140 process and still be able to hold on to the current priority date in case if I have to go for new PERM?
