I work for a semicondutor company in Arizona and I have an approved PERM and i-140, but I recently changed the job location to San Jose in the same company and team but the immigration team started a second PERM for me now (saying that I have a new job location). Is this necessary? I have an approved H1B, so my question is if I move the company now, will I retain the original priority date? If I move to a new company and I complete the 6 year term of my H1B, would I be able to extend it using the first i-140 even if the second one isnt approved by that time.
