I am on H1B (I797 with EOS ) and moving to a new job . The new company is preparing to file for H1B transfer under premium processing. I am not able to locate original copy I797 that is approved for my current employer ( I do have a scanned copy that I have provided for H1B Transfer) . Can I start working for the new employer with a receipt of H1B transfer and copy of old I797 that has I94 attached at bottom ? Is that sufficient for I9 verification ?
