I am on H1B and in the 60 days grace period after being laid off from my prior position. I’ve an offer with a company which is ready to submit my I-9 form and file my H1B within a couple days. The start date is in 2 weeks.   However, I’m waiting on a better offer from another company within the next week. I was wondering if I become an employee of the first company from the moment they submit my I-9 form to USCIS or I can still transfer my H1B to the second company prior to the start date with the first.
