My parents are visiting me from India and my Mom had a medical issue due to which she had to be taken to emergency room in Stanford hospital. It resulted in a bill amount that my parents cannot afford to pay. My parents asked for financial Assistance through the hospital. I plan to apply for their Green Card in a few years when I am eligible to do so. If they end up getting financial assistance : 1) Would it affect my parents' Green card application? If yes, in what way? 2) Does Green Card application have a question asking whether they ever applied for Financial assistance.
