Hi, I am currently on an H1-B visa residing in the US and have an ongoing employment-based petition (EB2 - priority date 2016) through my employer. My brother is a US citizen and would like to sponsor my green card under the sibling F4 category as a backup option. - My question is: Can my brother apply for my green card (file I-130 petition) even if I am residing in the US on an H1-B visa? Will my existing EB2 employment-based petition or future visa stamping be in any way affected by this parallel backup family-based petition? Will I be able to port my 2016 EB2 priority date for a family-based petition?
