HI, I am on H1B currently working as Full Time employment, i am affected recent layoffs at my company, but company wants me to onboard as an independent contract. so i have GC ead can i work as independent contractor? Company will not file any I485 J supplement, so is it fine? if i can show as self employment and file i485j on my own. This will be in same field as my current green card application. I also have my spouse's LLC can she file I485 J supplement for me? And can i join her company as an employee? Or I can take contracting work from her company? My spouse LLC was started last year and will come 12 months by April, she is working through LLC on a 1099 and is the sole proprietor. I am looking for a solution to my current situation?
