Question

Hi My priority date is April 23rd, 2013 and its an EB3-I case. My I-140 was filed as a Consular case as I was out of United States at the time of filing of I140. I am currently in United States on a non-immigrant visa H1B. There has been no change in the Employer. I have two questions: Question 1: With Dates of Filing moving to Jan 2015, please advise if I can file I-485 (AOS). I believe its possible and all that needs to be done is a sending a notification to USCIS/NVC informing about this. Can you please advise if my understanding is correct? Else, advise what would be the best course of action for me. Question 2: Assuming I am eligible to file I-485, what are my options if I don't have my original birth certificate. What are the alternative documents which I can provide to satisfy this requirement? Thanks so much for your guidance Satish
