Question

My in-laws are here with me in United States and they arrived on Dec 4th, 2019 from India. We applied for an extension on May 30, 2020 (to Dec 3, 2020) as there weren't any flights operational at that time plus they are seniors and would fall under high risk category for COVID-19 infection. We're still not comfortable sending them back in the current situation so would like answers to the following: 1. Have you seen cases where a second extension was approved during COVID-19 pandemic? 2. Our first extension is still in pending status. Can we apply for a second one before the first one is adjudicated? 3. Is there a grace period in case the application is rejected? 4. Is there anything we should consider including in the "written statements" besides the health reason mentioned above?
