Q.

I 327

My daughter has had a greencard for 20 years but has been in China a great deal taking care of her grandmother for much of the last five years. She comes back every year but this time she was told she needed an I327 when she came back next time. She applied for an I131 in 2007. What would happen upon her return if she went to clean things up in China and how long would it take to get her citizenship if she stayed in the US? She came to the US in 1988, graduated from 1st thru 12th grade in NYC, then to UK for three years for College, then here in New York for a little over a year in 2005 and paid her taxes that year. She has been in China most of the time since taking care of her ailing grandmother. Her mother is a Chinese citizen with a greencard since 88. I am her stepfather and US born.
