Q.

Visa application while pending Change Of Status (COS) by spouse

I am currently on H1. I plan to apply for Change of Status (COS) from H1 to F1 in the future.

If my wife has the visa appointment and interview before my COS is approved, would she still have to apply for H4 (since, I am on H1, but have a pending COS to F1)?

Does my pending COS application jeopardize her visa application in any way?
