Book Writing Royalties on H1B

I'm a software eng. on H1B since 2007 and have been writing technical articles for a while, e.g. on my blog. A few years ago I got an offer to write a book on my area of expertise, and so I did. It's currently being sold. I'd be writing in spare time anyway, so why not do it for a book? Since PERM was in progress, royalties wouldn't have been a problem by the time I reached GC status. However, PERM has been slow and is being audited now, possibly needing a new PERM.

Writing is not part of my H1B sponsor's job description, though I do technology evangelism through speaking, blogging, etc.

What are my options?
1. Ask to delay royalty payments till GC?
2. Let them sponsor concurrent H1B?
3. Set up a venture with a GC holder?
4. Decline royalties (I care more about my name on it)?
