Q.

How to maintain my green card with repeated absence?

I got a green card through DV in 2009,traveled to USA from 19 September 2009 till 6 October 2009 then returned to Saudi Arabia where I have work contract , then I traveled again to USA from 12 July 2010 till 3 August 2010-in the airport the custom officer asked me how long I’ll stay in USA and told me to apply for reentry permit to be in the safe side if I will leave USA again but there was no enough time to apply for it. Now I’m in Saudi to finish my work contract ( till 5 July 2011 then retuen to us). What I should do to maintain my green card and not jeopardize my status?
If I returned to USA once every 6 months during the next 10 months ,will be any problem in the airport?
Who take the decision that the GC holder should not be admitted to USA , is it the custom officer or the court?
