Hi,

I came to USA in december 31st 2005, My Visa is valid upto december 2010. I changed my status two times in USA once in October 2008 from F1 to H1. Just two months ago, I was in confusion whether to select H4 or F1, as I am not interested in working for someone. I had interest in business. So finally, I transferred from H1 - H4. Now I am thinking instead of maintaining a status which does not have ability to take cheques, and instead of depending on my wife for everything, I would like to go with F1 - PHD. Some one told me that, I can just apply for COS from H4 - F1. and apply for VISA Renewal by residing in USA. and we need not go for stamping. but I want clarificaiton on this from an expert. Please let me know do I have to go for stamping again?
