Earlier I was in L1 and my wife was in L2 visa status.

Latter I got H1 visa approved through change of status and my wife got H4 visa approved.

However I was not working under H1 visa and so myself and my wife travelled outside of US and came in to US under L1 and L2 status respectively.

Now another employer filed L1 to H1 change of Status for me using previous I-797 approval and my H1 transfer is approved.

Now my wife status has to be changed again from L2 to H4 status.

I would like to know whether her previously approved H4 petition will help in any manner or do I need to apply fresh L2 to H4 change of Status?
