A PAKISTAN citizen,entered in US on H1B in Nov,2008. On first entry CBP officer did not brief about NSEERS, gave me i-94 (without FIN#). For my trip back home after 1 year i went for un-registration just to be on safe side. CBP officer at the airport said there is no FIN# on my i-94 so I am not registered and doesn't need un-registration, went back to PAKISTAN and came back after 1 month, no problem.
May 2010:found incorrect date on my i-94 card and went to CBP officer for the correction. They interrogated me for not un-registering and warned me not to do it in future. Issued me corrected i-94s saying that we forgiving because it was CBP fault,do unregister next time.But even in corrected i-94s there is no FIN (no registration again).Is NSEERS still due from my side? Any future problem?
