Q.

Pending 290B after 180 days

I have been consulting an attorney to file my EB2. The I-140 has been approved and I obtained my EAD. Apparently my 485 was denied in September because I did not have all the materials, so I gathered all the materials so my attorney to file a 290B action on the 485 in early October. The attorney forgot to file the 290B in a timely manner and filed that and the i824 on January 11th. The 290B and 824 are in pending status. So my question(s) is: 1) If I have a pending 290B, and an EAD, can I still work? Or do I have to leave the country? 2) Are there any other options, like filing for a work or student visa, so I can stay in this country while I wait for the 290B? I can take classes at a local college. Also, should we start consulting another attorney for this matter? Thank you
