H4 visa and remote work
1) My wife is on H4 visa and is in USA for the past one year. 5 months back she got an offer in an Indian organization(ABC) to work remotely. Her work involves developing and supporting IT applications as an employee of ABC for customer(XYZ – an Indian company). She is being paid in Indian currency(equals to $9000/year) in an Indian bank account. She is doing this to gain experience. Is this legal?
2) Can she show her above 5months experience in her resume and subsequently filing h1b petition? Please clarify.
