Visitor visa strategy
I am sponsoring my parents' visa and they plan to go for the interview in Chennai. Both their children are in the US on Green card. They retired last year after working abroad and have been in India. In addition my parents have worked abroad all their lives.
My mother is setting up a non profit online tutoring business which would be used for funding orphanages. The domain name was registered in October 2010 but the business is not registered yet. Currently there is only one student.
Would it be advisable to show my mom as employed with this project or as retired?
As this is an online business would this be seen as a factor for potential non-return after visiting usa? If my mom is going to be indicated as employed would it be better to register the business before the interview?
