E-2 SPOUSE WITH A I-765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Hi,
I am a E-2 dependant with a valid visa and I am waiting for an EAD (I-765 received by USCIS the 24th of novenber) I need to travel abroad for christmas. Is it OK to travel or does it cancel the process? With your experience, how long does it takes to receive the EAD?
