H1 Approved - H4 Extension

Dear Sir/Madam,

My current visa status is H4 and it will expire on Sep 4th 2010.I applied for H1 in the month of April 2010 and got H1 approval on May 6th 2010. My Husband's H1 is expiring on Sep 4th 2010 and his company is filing for his extension.

Should my H4 extension be filed along with my Husband's extension? If H4 extension is filed will it create any problem for my approved H1.
If H4 extension is not advisable then will I be in out of status from Sep 4th to Oct 1st 2010? Is there any grace period for this time?
I have no plans of traveling outside USA at this point of time. I would like to know about my current status since my H1 got approved whether I am in H4 or H1.

Thanks in advance
Pravino
