My son is 13 years old and applying for a scholarship. Requirement for the scholarship is US citizenship. My wife and I are permanent resident for 9 years and applied for Citizenship recently. Hopefully we will get it by May 2012. My son was born outside US but is permanent resident along with us. By the child citizen act of 2000 he should get citizenship status when we get ours right? What paperwork we need to proof his citizenship? How do we get it? I got some vague answers from few other sites. I like to know what paperwork we need exactly and how to get it.
