Visiting Canada with US Green Card and Canadian PR card?

My wife and I got Canadian PR in 2008. We landed in Canada via road using a rental car and got PR card. Now we have got US Green card in August 2010. We are planning to visit Canada by road this Friday Jul 1. Should I use US Green Card or Canadian PR? Are there any potential problems? I would like to drive my own car and not have to import it to Canada. This car is new so not on the duty free list approved earlier. Do I have to get rental again? Also, I don't want to jeopardize US GC and I don't want to be considered having abandoned it? However, I am not ready to surrender Canadian PR just yet. Should I just show my US GC and not worry about Canadian PR card unless asked? Please advise on what I should do and what to expect at the border Port Huron-Point Edward (Michigan-Ontario)?
