Q.

Retain Green Card

Hello, I am a US perm. resident since June 2007. I have been out of US for total 45 days during these 3 years.But,I would like to spend as much time as possible in India for the remainder of 2 yrs to take care of my unwell father.Can you pls recommend what I could do, to be in India for long intervals without jeopardizing my eligibility to apply for US citizenship? Can I keep shuttling between US and India, where I will stay in India for 5 months and be in US for a month, until the next 2 years? Thanks for your help.
