Q.

Eligibility for US Citizenship/Naturalization?

Hello sir, my parents have been on Greencard since May 2005. They have never been out of USA for more than 180 days. But, recently my mom was operated on knee in India. After returning here in Jan 2010 (after her visit of 165 days overseas), it got worst and she had to leave within a month. So, she has been in India since then. She's been operated 4 times but she's still recovering. My dad is also taking care of her in India. Are they eligible to apply for US Citizenship/naturalization now? it looks like they will be out for more than 180 days this time. Would USCIS accept the breach of continuous stay due to medical reasons? Do they need to apply for any Parole?
