Q.

[L-1B visa & end of contract]

Hi! A mass laid off occurred in my company, and I have then been suddently laid off, I am a foreigner. My company did not report to US immigration and we do not know if our visa is still valuable or not, mine is L-1B. My company is supporting me by now to have unemployment insurance and I can search for a job. My questions are: is L-1B automatically cancelled from the day of contract ended ? As this is not a laid off due to my work or willing to leave, my company still want to help me finding a job in US. How is it possible to help it to still sponsored my L-1B visa when I have been laid off ? Is it possible to work with another company with a L-1B still sponsored by my company ? Is it possible or suitable to ask for a H-1B visa ? Thanks for answer in this critical situation.
