Entered US on L2:11/27/10,L1-L2 expiry:4/21/11,EAD aprvd 3/24/11 till 4/21/11,Filed L1-L2 Extn:3/01/11,Approval for l1-l2 : 06/15/11
Left for Canada on 5/15 for job and returned US on B2 for 4 days on 5/21/11.On border officer mentioned I had stayed out of status in US from L2 expiry (04/21/11) to 5/15,though extn was filed before visa expiry. He kept my expired EAD card and allowed entry on B2.
Now L2 visa restamped from Canada and want to file for EAD again.For a renewal EAD,a copy of old EAD card is required which I do not have though I have the approved EAD petition.How to explain the situation to USCIS.Could you please guide me as to under which category shall I file for the EAD Or can I file for a renewal and attach a notarized affidavit.What shud be the format and who notarizes it
