Q.

L2 renew

After several times, finally, my husband's L1A extension is approved in 10/2010. But, when his L-1 was approved, my L2 expired. I applied I-539 to renew my L2, but I received a letter from USCIS, saying to provide them evidence of current valid L2 visa, which expired. (we fill out" the new status I am requesting is L2, because my L2 was expired at the time).
1. What should I do?

2. Can I still apply for employment authorization card? Or should I amend my I-539 to "extension of stay in my current status" (an expired L2)?

3. Can I simply stay in the USA until I departed US, then reapply for L2 visa at the embassy? But, I was overstayed for more than three months.
