Q.

L1 Visa expiring.

Hi,
I am on L1 visa. Following are the details -
1. Landed in USA on 03/11/2006.
2. First petition expired on 11/23/2008.
3. Extended for the first time from 11/24/2008 till 03/11/2011.
4. Got the most recent I-94 till 03/10/2011.
5. Will be completing 5 years on 03/10/2011 on L1 Visa.

Question -
1. If my organization files an H1 visa in FY11 cap now, for how long will I be able to stay in USA after 03/10/2011 ?
2. Is there any recommended Visa/option for me to be able to stay in US beyond 03/10/2011?
3. Does the counter gets reset if I move to another visa or is it independent of the Visa type?
