I have been working in the US for 3 years under a L1B Visa. The company I work is owned primarily (80%) by an international partner and an American owner.
I have initiated the green card process and my priority date is 2008. Recently both owners decided to cancel the partnership and the major associate (our previous employer in Portugal for many years) is planing to open a new company with a new american partner. Could we transfer our L1B Visa to the new company without jeopardizing the green card process?
If our Visa expires before our priority date becomes current could it be extended beyond the limit?
