I am a UK citizen currently working in the US on an L1 Visa. Expires March 2013.

I am currently married in the UK. I should have my decree absolute by September 2010.

I would like to marry my US fiancee shortly afterwards.

I would like the freedom to move jobs once I am married.

1. Can I just get married or do I need to apply for additional visa's?
2. How do I change status from L1 visa to Green Card (I presume this is what I need) and how long does it take?
3. How long after marrying will I be free to find alternative employment - e.g. can I find employment during the green card process.
