Q.

L1-B to L2 EAD

I am on L1-B visa with company X visa valid till March 2011.My wife is also on L1-B visa with same Company X,visa valid till March 2011.

I want to get L2-EAD to get better job.

1)Can I apply change of status I 539 (Application To Extend/Change Nonimmigrant Status L1-B to L2) and and EAD I-765 at same time?

2)How much time it will take to get both L2 and EAD?

3)At what time I should resign from Company X so that I don’t go out of status and be legally working for Company X and in US:At the time when I apply for change of status or at the time when I have received L2 and EAD.I would have serve 4-6 weeks notice after I resign and work with Company X?
