L1A Visa Out of status

Hi,

My L1A visa status will go out of status on 2/27, as tomorrow, Friday 2/26 is my last day at work.

I am also enrolled as a student in a masters program which I can conclude by the end of May at the earliest.

My question is this; will I feasibly be able to remain in the US for a further 90 days without removal proceedings being undertaken as long as I document my preparations to leave by this date?

Supplementary question; can I apply for a change of status to F1 with little or no time remaining on my L1 visa status?
