Q.

New EAD or Renewal with fresh L2

I have an EAD with my current L2, both of which expire on March 29, 2010. My husband's company is processing a fresh L1 instead of renewing existing one to avoid rejection(which means a fresh L2 for me rather than renewal). Should i then be renewing my existing EAD or apply for a new EAD all over again? Since new EAD would mean 3 months wait time, is it legal if my company agrees to give me 3 months of unpaid leave and let me join once i get the EAD?
