Q.

K1 visa

If a purely private, religious marriage ceremony between an American citizen and an Iranian citizen was performed in a 3rd country where the ceremony would NOT be a legal marriage in that country, would USCIS consider that ceremony reason enough to invalidate an in-process K1 visa for the bride (the Iranian citizen)?
