I am a Nepali citizen, came here for internship (as Research Scholar) on J1. I finished my M.Sc. in Germany, got my visa stamped from Munich Consulate and came here. I am bound to 2 year rule. I filed for waiver (on 11th May) and the decision is pending (they asked for additional document, namely permanent residence proof in Germany as my residence country was mentioned as Germany on my DS 2019). My contract was for until 15th June, but extended to September 30th. I was expecting the contract to extend further, but they (my J1 sponsor) now told me they can't. What would be other options for me to continue my stay here within this short period of time? Any guidance will be appreciated.
