Can AOS dependent quit job after getting EAD?
Hello Sir Vartanian,
Thank you for answering my previous question so fast. I have another question.
My wife currently holds a valid H-1B visa. She is the dependent on our concurrent AOS filing and is planning to quit her H-1B sponsoring job when we get our EAD cards. Will she lose status this way? Does she need to file for H4?

This one is hard to say not knowing anything about the underlying application. Working under her EAD at another company would certainly invalidate the H-1b anyway. The conservative approach would be to file an h-4 in case the 485s do not go through for some reason. |
