How does OPT to AOS affect my situation?
I am an F-1 student on OPT. I'm applying for a marriage-based Adjustment of Status (AOS). I have a valid EAD card so I can work in my field (OPT).
Will my AOS application affect my permission to work? Do I have to apply for an EAD card renewal to keep working in the US, once my current EAD expires, or can I use my AOS pending status to continue working?
Thanks for your response.

Dear Cville:
EAD based on OPT typically good for one year (check expiration date).
You should file for new EAD concurrently with AOS.
