employer refusing to give copy of H1b approval
I got terminated Oct 2008. My previous employer is refusing to give me a copy of my H1b approval. I need it to transfer my h1b to new employer. My last paystub was dated november 15, 2008. I have 2 paystubs prior to these. I824 form to get duplicate copy from INS takes 6 months to process. What can I do?

Thanks for your question.
Do you have the receipt number? If so, you can file the H-1B transfer without the H-1B approval notice - we have successfully done so in the past, based on receipt number. Please let me know if you would need assistance in the H-1B transfer.
Best regards. |

I don't even have the receipt number. I've only been working for them 2 months and i'm not even sure if the h1b has been approved. I need help with my h1 transfer. a new company is already hiring me and I want to start on the process but my previous employer is making it difficult. |
