Q.

Can I travel with an H1B pending?

Originally came to US with a TN visa that was denied at renewal. Filed for an H1B visa and the petition is still pending due to a Request for evidence. The "troubled assets relief" program box was not checked. We have sent the request for evidence back and am still waiting for a reply. I need to travel back to Canada, will I have any problems returning? Am I even allowed to leave? Should I be worried that this is still pending?
