I am a recent graduate from Duke University and I was working for a company in the Bay area.
The company agreed to file my H1B, my case was selected,and I got the H1 approval.
However,2 weeks later I was layed off from the company and I now seek a new employment opportunity.
I also got my extended OPT from the USCIS which has a new I20 that gives me permission to remain in the USA until September 15th.

The paralegal in the old company told me I would have 60 days to find another job,and transfer my H1. 60 days will end on August 11th.
I am confused as to whether I should follow the date accoriding to my nw I20 (Septmeber 15th) verses my H1 approval (August 11th.
Please let me know what would be legal and appropriate.
