Currently on L1 with company A. Company A applied H1B to ease the process of Perm. B'coz of economy, Company A is asking me to go to India. Hence mostly Company A will cancel the H1B before Oct1st. But, my wife is on H1B working for company X ( Company A does not know this ).
My questions :

1. I want to go from L1 to H4 ? Will it be a issue, and typically how much time it takes for COS ?
2. If company A cancels my H1 before Oct 1st, I understand I can reactivate H1 if I find a job with Company C after OR before Oct 1st. What kind of process is involved in both cases ?
3. Does time spent on H4 count towards L1/H1 max. limit of 6 years ?
