Q.

B1 to H1

I got my B1 stamped on my passport on June 10th 2009.The officer in the VISA interview (held in INDIA) cancelled my active stamped H1. My H1 got stamped on 2nd OCT 2008. Now it is cancelled. My H1 petetion period OCT 2008 to Sep 2011. 1> My H1 petetion is valid or not? 2>If valid, I am coing to US on B1. Is there any chance to shift from B1 to H1 without going for stamping again? Please advise Any diffuculities with this move in future 3>If yes above, I am married. My wife is not travelling with me as of now.How Can I get my wife to USA? 4> My wife H4 visa is not yet cancelled.Because I am the only one went for the B1 stamping. Does she need to go for stamping again?5>What I need If I want to come out of USA and and enter back 6>I am Indian. For stamping can I go to canada insted of India
