Q.

H1B & H4

Hi,

I am currently in India. I am getting married in Nov 2009 and my fiance is on H1-B. After marriage, I intend to come to US but not work for 4-5 months (start working from March 2010).

Since H1 Visas are available, can I apply for H1-B now (get my I-797 only and not get the visa stamped)and then get my H4 visa after my marriage in November.

Will I lose my H1-B approval once I get my H4 visa. If not, can I get my H1-B stamping just before starting to work (early next year).

Thank You.
