H1 to F1 Cancellation of COS request

Hi Dimo,
I am working on an new H1 since Oct 08. In April, I was concerned that I would lose my job and status, so I decided to go to grad school. I filed COS request for F1 and now they are requesting some more info which I have and will provide. I continued working and the H1 was never canceled, paystubs are available. In the meantime, I have an offer from a new employer and need to transfer my H1 to them.
Q1: Can I cancel/withdraw the COS to F1 request and how? I won't need it since my plans have changed.
Q2: will that impact the upcoming transfer of current H1 to new employer in any way? Can I hire my own lawyer to handle the H1 transfer?

Thank you very much in advance
